This will not work with an AGA Amiga like a 1200 or 4000!
Framethrower Denise — Native Video Output Add-on for PiStorm
Say goodbye to the two-monitor juggle. The Framethrower Denise is the essential add-on for PiStorm users who want a single, clean HDMI output for everything their Amiga does.
Until now, PiStorm users needed separate outputs for the Amiga’s native chip graphics and the accelerated RTG (Retargetable Graphics) desktop. The Framethrower finally solves this long-standing problem. Amitopia
The adapter installs directly into the Denise socket of your Amiga 500 or 2000, with the original Denise chip plugged into the adapter itself. A single FPC cable then connects it to the Raspberry Pi on your PiStorm. Retrobuddys The Framethrower samples the Amiga’s video signal from Denise and converts it to a MIPI CSI-2 datastream, which the Raspberry Pi receives and outputs over HDMI. GitHub
This means the Amiga’s native graphics — for games, demos, and the classic Workbench screen — are processed and output alongside high-resolution RTG graphics through the PiStorm’s existing HDMI port, delivering a clean, pixel-perfect digital video signal for all Amiga screen modes via a single cable. Amitopia No external RGB2HDMI adapter needed. No secondary monitor connection required.
The Framethrower Denise is built around the RP2350 microcontroller and is designed for OCS and ECS Amigas. Amitopia
